About This Event
Convoy of Hope is hosting a luncheon — presented by Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center of the Ozarks — in honor of International Women’s Day. The community is invited to purchase a ticket for the event being held on Thursday, March 12, at the Convoy of Hope World Distribution Center. Doors open at 10 a.m., lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m., and the program will begin at noon. Tickets are $25 and include lunch, a program, prize drawings, and a silent auction.
Attendees will learn about Convoy of Hope’s Women’s Empowerment initiative and how they can help women and girls around the world. “This is an opportunity for the women of the Ozarks to come together as a community and celebrate the impact we are making locally and internationally,” says Doree Donaldson, Convoy of Hope’s Vice President of Convoy: Women and luncheon speaker.
Additional speakers include special guests Dr. Minra Taracena, an advocate for women trapped in commercial sexual exploitation, and Moriah Peters Smallbone, recording artist, member of the all female band TRALA, actress, and academic.
