About This Event

This workshop is designed to give business owners the tools to shoot videos to market their products and services using things they already own. No fancy equipment is needed, just a phone that can record video and sound, and some basic lighting.
Cost is $79 for early bird registration or $100 the day of.
Enjoy complementary coffee and pastries as we kick off at 8am sharp!

We will cover how to make a plan for what to talk about on-camera, how to set up the technical parts of your video shoot, and actually work through creating videos with the participants for different social media platforms. You will leave with a video shot on your phone by a fellow workshop attendee!

Objectives For Attendees:

1.) Overcome insecurity - Break out of your shell and have fun with video marketing

2.) DO (Actually create videos!)

3.) Have a framework to understand how to improve future videos on your own after the workshop

Videos instantly transmit credibility and help potential customers understand who you are and what you do within your business making them an invaluable marketing tool. The power of cell phones to record, and the internet to distribute the content has made this the golden age of Do It Yourself Video Marketing.

The final benefit of the workshop will be a chance to network and connect with other like-minded business professionals on the same journey of figuring out how to add videos to their marketing arsenal.

Bring your charged Smart Phone (iPhone, Android) with storage space available for videos recording
Optional: Bring your own lamp. This will be used to get real-life experience using the lights you have around the house to make better videos.

This workshop is being presented by Plotline, a local film and media school non-profit focused on teaching people how to make movies in conjunction with Lucas Walker Business Consulting, a local consultant who helps business owners sustainably grow the profitability of their organizations.

Parking: If the Creamery parking lot fills up, park across the street at the Cardinals stadium.

Note: This event will max out at 25 participants.
