About this Event

Nearly 800,000 people die from suicide each year. That's one person every 40 seconds. But it only takes one person to save a life.
In honor of National Suicide Prevention Month, 417 and Burrell Behavioral Health team up to produce a free two-part series where you'll learn how to listen, talk and share openly about suicide with loved ones. Register now to hear powerful conversations surrounding survival stories, statistics, communication strategies, resources and more so you can be that one person.

In the Getting Comfortable with the Uncomfortable segment, we will talk to Kevin Hines Story, a suicide survivor, best-selling author, global public speaker and award winning documentary filmmaker.
In 2000, Kevin Hines attempted to take his life by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge. Many factors contributed to his miraculous survival including a sea lion which kept him afloat until the Coast Guard arrived. Kevin helps listeners get comfortable with the uncomfortable by sharing his story of hope, healing and recovery.
