About This Event

Springfield, MO –Springfield’s premier mixed-use community is again hosting Lights & Flights—its signature holiday event for the whole family. Come and celebrate the glow of the lights and enjoy live music as we kick off the season at Farmers Park.

There will be plenty to experience and savor for everyone. Stay toasty with a custom whiskey flight or seasonal cocktail from Progress, the Park’s newest restaurant, while the kids get their photo taken with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Yummy food, hot chocolate and cider will accompany the festive cheer, and Farmers Market of the Ozarks will be open for holiday goodies you can take home to impress your guests.

This year, we’re asking attendees to donate gloves and hand warmers that our event partner, The Venues, will distribute to the local homeless population. The greatest need is for adults, so please bring warm, durable gloves that will stand up to the elements.

Be ready with your camera for the 6 p.m. lighting of our 20-foot orb tree and share your pics on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Then stick around for an outdoor screening of Elf, the winner of our Facebook movie poll. We’ll have heaters but be sure to dress warmly and bring a blanket, so you’re cozy for the big presentation. Special thanks to Sun Solar, our Movie Night sponsor, as well as Pitt Technology and AVMAN for the audiovisual support. Here’s a closer look at all the fun you’ll have at Lights & Flights:

•Farmers Market of the Ozarks from 4–7p.m.
•Live music from We Three Thieves
•Pictures with Mr. and Mrs. Claus at 5 p.m.
•Performance by Princesses of the 417
•Whiskey flights & beer garden
•Seasonal cocktail by Progress
•Orb tree-lighting ceremony at 6 p.m.
•Movie Night presentation of Elf after tree-lighting ceremony
