About this Event
Nothing screams summer more than a swim session in an off the beaten path Shut-In! We will explore the breathtaking Ozark Trail through the Klepzig Mill to Rocky Falls section. This is a 6-mile hike with 459' elevation gain. The hike will begin at Klepzig Mill, a historic mill located in the beautiful Rocky Creek shut-ins. We will then continue though Buzzard Mountain shut-ins before ending at Rocky Falls, which is one of the most remarkable cascades in Missouri. You will not be disappointed by its beauty!
Throughout the hike, we will take several breaks to immerse ourselves in Ozark's stunning waterfalls, old historic buildings, watering holes, and dynamic terrain. Make sure to bring your bathing suits as we will be jumping into the numerous shut-ins located along this hike. On the drive back, we will stop at Piney River Brewing Company for some great locally made beer and handmade pizza. The brewery is very family-friendly.
At checkout, you can choose to add a lunch option from One Drop Coffe Co (3 options available) to make it even more convenient. You can just pick it up on the day of the trip. Please give yourself enough time to pick up your packed lunch before departure time.
Perfect for: First time hikers up for a challenge or fit adventurers looking for a fun day in nature.
