About This Event

There is no place quite as enthralling as Pedestal Rocks to admire the uniqueness of the Ozarks. Hike through some of the most fascinating rock formations and spectacular views in the Ozarks. We will begin the day hiking 2.2 miles over mild terrain. Pedestal Rocks is best known for its unique rock formations that resemble “mushrooms.” These formations were formed over centuries, shaped by water and wind erosion that have also sculpted numerous small caves and shelters into the bluff.

After the hike we will over to Ponca, Arkansas to search for the majestic herds of elk that populate the area. These animals are amazing to see in nature. The drive to the area almost rivals viewing the wildlife, as we will be in the heart of the Buffalo River territory with stunning geography and natural features every way you look. Relax as we drive you back home and talk about the amazing day you had Exploring the Ozarks.

For participants age 10 and up. Registration includes transportation and expert guide.
