Spring Family Bird Walk
8:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
About This Event
Spring is here, and so are migrating songbirds returning from their winter vacation! We'll learn the basics of recognizing birds by sight and sound, and see what we can find in the Ozarks woods and glades this morning. We'll also learn how, with apps, your family can become Citizen Scientists and help track birds as they travel the world. Bring binoculars, if you have them (we'll also have some to loan) as you try out the surprisingly addictive challenge of bird ID.
Registration includes transportation, equipment, and expert guide. Please let us know if you prefer to drive yourself adn meet us at the hike location. Bring water + snacks, binoculars (if you have them), and water shoes or a change of shoes/socks in the event of wet feet at a small creek crossing.
