About This Event
Join us on Sunday, May 19th from noon to 2pm and learn to cultivate a personal yoga practice suited to your own needs. Open to anyone seeking to begin or deepen their yoga practice.
We will go over how and why to create a home practice, insights from different yoga traditions, deeper aspects of yoga teachings and why/how to implement them, accommodations for your body and needs, accommodations for different seasons and conditions, ‘creating a sacred space at home', how to dedicate the “right” amount of time, obstacles to yoga practice at home, developing asana sequences to fit your needs, as well as relaxation, breath work, and meditation techniques.
The workshop will end with a 45 minute practice session.
Led by Kari Schlak, RYT 500, RPYT, RCYT
Kari has practiced and studied Yoga since childhood and has been teaching since 2013. Kari pursued her first teacher training with Beth Spindler of Teach to Inspire Yoga education. Through deeper study, Kari dove into a path focused on bringing the benefits of yoga and community to those at any stage of parenting and pregnancy, as well as to children, beginners, and those who seek a playful and accessible approach to Yoga. Kari has achieved an 500RYT advanced certification, RPYT prenatal certification, and RCYT children’s certification.
