Native Scape: The deck at Bob and Linda Edmonds’ custom home, built by Rick Ramsey, is a great spot to enjoy the beauty of changing seasons.

Bob and Linda Edmonds moved into their custom-built Point Royale home two years ago, and since then, they have been able to enjoy the benefits of living in a developed community while still maintaining the peaceful feeling of seclusion. The home has a magnificent view from the back deck, which faces east and looks out over a river-like section of Lake Taneycomo. There’s a bluff where water fowl, beavers and red foxes can be seen roaming the cedar, oak and hickory trees, as well as a pair of nesting eagles that the Edmonds love to watch daily. “The view from the deck is continually changing as we look across the bluff,” Bob says. “One of the coolest things in the fall is the colors of the trees when they’re changing. We get the evening sun and the reflection of the brilliant color of the trees on the bluff.”
