There are many gorgeous rooms in Matt and Kerri Miller’s home, but the kitchen in particular has us in awe. A porcelain tile floor sets the stage for the clean, stark space, and a natural stone waterfall countertop gives it a bit of edge. A touch of contrast comes from the planks of stained birch wood that line the back of the island. It’s all a new look for the family, who has lived in the house for three years. “We recently remodeled the kitchen and just moved back in last July,” Kerri says.
Large windows behind the sink let in a flood of natural light and look to the home’s backyard’s towering trees, and the windows on the opposite side of the room look to a street in Springfield’s Phelps Grove neighborhood. “We live on a very popular street for runners, so we always see them jogging by,” Kerri says. From its clean, open ambience to its warm touches, the space is a perfect space for Matt and Kerri to share with their dogs, Harry and Lloyd (pictured).
